Code
Meaning
Severity
Common Symptom
E17
Speed Oven Preheat Failed
Medium
The unit begins preheating for a convection or combination cook program, runs the heating element for the full preheat period, then displays E17 and cancels because the target temperature was not confirmed by the cavity sensor.
View
E1003
Inverter Communication Fault
High
The unit energizes, the turntable begins to rotate, but within 3 to 10 seconds the magnetron cuts out and the display locks on E1003 -- the inverter board failed to send a feedback pulse back to the control.
View
E1006
Sensor Communication Error
High
The unit begins a cycle, heats for 20 to 60 seconds, then stops and displays E1006, refusing to continue.
View
E1007
Control Board Fault
High
The unit is heating normally when it abruptly cuts power to the cavity and freezes the display on E1007, refusing further operation.
View
ER1
Temperature Sensor Fault
High
Any program that uses the built-in sensor — auto-defrost, auto-reheat, or combination cooking on Thermador speed ovens — immediately displays Er1 and cancels.
View
ER4
Extreme Overheat Detected
High
The unit cuts power to the magnetron mid-cycle, the display freezes on Er4, and the door cannot be opened immediately while the unit cools.
View
ER11
Button Jam / Touchpad Fault
Medium
Pressing a button either does nothing or activates an unintended function, while the display shows Er11 persistently.
View
ER18
General Technical Fault
Medium
Immediately after power is restored, the unit shows Er18 and ignores all touchpad input.
View
H95
Door Not Closed Properly
Medium
The unit refuses to begin any cooking program and instead shows H95, indicating it cannot confirm the door is fully latched.
View
PF
Power Failure
Low
The microwave display shows PF (Power Failure) when power is restored after an outage, a tripped circuit breaker, or a brief brownout in the home electrical supply.
